I scream, you scream, we all scream...for Pretty Cool Ice Cream.

I've never been much of an ice cream connoisseur. However, the second I stepped foot in a Jeni's Ice Cream my second year living in Chicago, all that changed. Since then, I have been on a mission to find the best ice cream spots, and this one takes the cake.

"You can't buy happiness, but you can buy ice cream and that is pretty much the same thing."

Launched by two veteran chefs, Pretty Cool Ice Cream offers a new spin on your local ice cream shop. The hand-crafted treats come in flavors such as Strawberry Shortcake, Bourbon Vanilla Bean and Rainbow Chip.

Ranging anywhere from $3.50 to $5.50 Pretty Cool Ice Cream has frozen desserts for everyone— even those with food restrictions.

Here are my top five must try pops and bars:

Banana Cream Pie

Banana cream pie flavored ice cream covered in a cinnamon graham cracker coating— just like grandma used to make it.

S'mores

Toasted marshmallows mixed into their signature custard,  dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with graham crackers and mini marshmallows— to remind you of your childhood bonfires. 

Dreamsicle

Cream cheese ice cream covered with a blood orange shell and a mixture of sprinkles.

Pretty Cool Ice Cream can be found all over the city. Their original location is in Logan Square off of Fullerton, but you can also find the frozen desserts at Fox Trot Market and most delivery apps.
