The One With the Scrunchie

Every few months, new accessories become, for a lack of better words, modish. This season it's scrunchies and they are back after decades of being "uncool."

Contrary to what Carrie Bradshaw might think, scrunchies are making a comeback. Every Sex and the City lover knows that episode where Carrie and her then boyfriend get into a huge fight over the fact that he made his main character in his novel wear a scrunchie.

She says, and I quote: “You have your leading lady running all over town wearing a scrunchie. A SCRUNCHIE!" 

Unlike Ms. Bradshaw many women today love a good scrunchie. For someone who has always hated wearing her hair in any type of up-do, the scrunchie is the perfect solution to my never ending problem.

But the scrunchie of the modern age is nothing like what you see in the 80’s workout videos. These trendy scrunchies come in sophisticated florals, elegant silks and trendy patterns-- nothing like their 80’s parallel.
